AA Earthworks & Haulage has Been Building a Strong
Reputation Since 2008. Here’s Our Story...

AA Earthworks &
Haulage Was Born From Humble Beginnings.

Our founder and director, Andrew Aguiar, started the business with just a single body truck and bobcat to service his clients. But the tenacity, integrity, and quality delivery that Andrew demonstrated ensured we quickly gained a reputation for superior service, exceptional timeline management, and complete customer satisfaction.

During these first years, we acquired a 5 tonne and 8 tonne excavator, and purchased a tri-axle super dog, which enabled us to expand our capacity significantly.

We began to take on detailed civil work for plumbers and highrise, including detailed basements.

In 2010, we purchased our first twin steer 8 wheeler truck, which was rebuilt from the ground up. Whilst operating this 8-wheeler, we saw an exciting opportunity in the market for tri-axle 10-wheeler tippers – a memorable discovery for our AA Earthworks and Haulage team.

2011 Was The Pivotal Point For AA Earthworks
& Haulage.

During these first years, we acquired a 5 tonne and 8 tonne excavator, and purchased a tri-axle super dog, which enabled us to expand our capacity significantly. We began to take on detailed civil work for plumbers and highrise, including detailed basements.

By 2013 Our Hard Work Was Paying Off.

It was a big year for growth. We purchased our first 12 and 30-tonne excavators, successfully expanding the business into the civil construction industry. We also brought our in-house maintenance and fabrication service online, hiring our first full-time fabricator and diesel mechanic.

This enabled us to manufacture everything our clients needed in-house, and deploy a maintenance crew to service any breakdown situations.

2013-2014
Our in-house expansion made 2013-2014 a period of big civil project deliveries, where we further cemented our reputation as a leader in the earthworks and haulage industry.

Our fleet was busy, with eight 10-wheel tippers and a 30-tonne digger. 2014 saw us operating 22 trucks on a daily basis for the Brisbane Court House Demolition – seven of our 10-wheelers, and 15 subcontractors, plus our 30-tonne excavator stockpiling at the project tip site!

In 2015 we were contracted by RGD constructions for the Highrise Basement excavation, undertaking a complete dig-out from the surface to three level basement dig. During this time, we also identified the need to improve our transparency for our clients.

We had nothing to hide—and our clients had everything to gain. We deployed a completed IVMS GPS model across our entire fleet, enabling our customers to monitor the positions of all our trucks at all times throughout their project.

This year, we also started working with Wagners, taking over the contract because we were able to complete the operation with half the amount of trucks required.

With 24 hour operation times, this change reduced noise complaints from locals significantly as we replaced 13 body trucks with just eight 10-wheelers.

This Was A Massive
Year

AA Earthworks & Haulage was engaged by BMD Constructions to assist with the A380 Plane Park construction project, helping to expand the airport for greater international flight opportunities.

8 of our 10-wheel tippers were running 6 days a week, at 10 hour shifts —carting all the sand and acid sulphate soil off site, and importing the MFCR materials from the batch plant and onto site.

Having demonstrated the value we could deliver in the initial excavation, our contract was extended to complete the Brisbane Airport Taxiway upgrade.

We removed all the soil and sand onsite, and imported tens of thousands of tonnes of sand, road base, and asphalt for the taxiway. We also ran 4 water trucks to flood the sand for compaction, prior to marko rolling.

If We Thought 2016
And 2017 Were Big
Years, 2018 Came
Along And Knocked It
Out Of The Park.

We were awarded the contract by Skyway Joint Ventures, made up of BMD and CPB constructions. We helped with haulage of materials for the 3.3km main runway and a 12-kilometre taxiway system.

We noticed a problem within the industry: manual docket books were getting damaged, lost, or simply having the wrong data written in them.

Getting ahead of the issue, we upgraded to Docketbook, an eDocket system that our customers can watch live. This has worked to improve the management and transparency of jobs for our clients, further enabling us to set the benchmark for the industry.

This Was A Massive
Year

We continued supporting BMD Constructions in their extension and upgrade of Archerfield Airport Project, as the primary on-site haulage company. 11 of our 10-wheel tippers moved thousands of tonnes of material during a single 6-month period.

And thanks to our careful fleet management, safety protocols, and attention to detail, we achieved this without any lost time incidents or major breakdowns.
